After 20 years in NY, Max Olivier felt the need to go back to his roots, and reconnect himself in the distinctive culture of the South of France. A journey also into his musical roots: singing French standards, Jazz, songwriting and performing again.

In a creative renaissance for this peculiar artist, Max Olivier laughed when he said: ” I didn’t see that one coming, what a twist!”. Because after not doing music for 15 years, one morning, just like that this desire, the need to sing were there, again, anew, and unavoidable. That morning he woke up, called some friends and told them: “ I’m here for a month, let’s record an album.” 

He then added: “My Kung Fu teacher once asked me: why resist the inevitable?”
